The Trial

—— PART 1 ——-
[Torio]: I speak for those the accused slaughtered at Ember – and I am here to see that justice is carried out this day.

1. As are we all, Ambassador. (N/A)
2. I think the ambassador speaks out of turn. No guilty verdict has been issued. (Verdict +1)
3. You don’t speak for the dead of Ember, Ambassador, you are the one responsible. (Verdict +1)
4. I think this Luskan hound has spoken out of turn – she’d best be silent, or I will silence her. (Verdict -1)

[Sand]: It may take a while for them to get through all the evidence, bless it, and the rest of the ritual nonsense, so if you have anything you want to ask, now’s the best time.

1. I still don’t understand how I was ill-fated enough to have you represent me. (Inf to Sand -1)
2. Do you have any advice? (N/A)

[Sand]: It is somewhat… unorthodox, but playing upon the animosity between Luskan and Neverwinter may help you…

1. I want to win by the rules of the court, not because of Luskan prejudice. (Lawful +1)
2. But? You don’t sound convinced. (N/A)
3. Unorthodox suits me fine – and Luskan’s been quick to use it when they can, anyway. (Chaos +1)

[Sand]: And do not threaten her or try to bluff her unless you are equally certain – if you fail, you are bound for the gallows for certain.

1. Your advice is useless, forget I asked. (Inf to Sand-1)
2. I’ll heed your advice. (N/A)
2.1 And Sand – thanks for representing me. (Inf to Sand +1)
2.2 If you let me down now, Sand, remember it’s not just my life that’s at risk. If I go to the gallows, I’ll say you were at Ember with me. Got it? (Evil +1)

—– PART 2 —–
[Oleff]: …and that is the evidence before us.
<----- Clue Score

3. (Good, 5-6) Positive murmuring from audience. Ah, that went over well…} (Verdict +1)
4. (Perfect, 7)Excited, positive murmuring from audience. Perfect. Look at their faces…

1. [Diplomacy] Forgive me, Ambassador, but are you speculating on the truth of the evidence?

1.1 [Diplomacy] Is it? You seemed quite certain of our guilt. Are you admitting that is also in question?
1.1.1[Diplomacy] Which is it, Ambassador? Are we guilty or not in your eyes? I am finding it difficult to find the truth in your wordplay. Verdict -1, Inf to Sand -1)

2. [Intimidate] Why do you want to distract us from the evidence? Scared of what it means, Luskan? Verdict -1, Inf to Sand -1)

3. (如果主角是牧师)To question the evidence presented within this court and before the god Tyr, offends me as a priest, Reverend Judge. Accuse me if you must, but I would ask the ambassador not to insult the gods. (Verdict +1) {注:当牧师的白赚啊}

4. I’ve never met him before. But he seems to speak the language of the court, judging from the audience reaction. (N/A)
5. Stop asking me questions in the middle of the trial, you’ll ruin his cover! (Inf to Sand -1)

[Torio]: Is this one of your witnesses, Sand? You seem… confused.

2. If you are implying he would be at risk from me, I ask you take it back. (N/A)
3. [Taunt] Now now, Ambassador, I’m certain you wouldn’t strike Elgun while he was testifying, so I doubt he’s in any danger here.
4. If he is a witness, then his testimony can only help me. (N/A)

[Torio]: Oh, yes. Those poor helpless farmers, cut down by that one there…
